How to Prepare for Your Xeomin

About 3-5 days before treatment, you should avoid using “strong” topical products like retinoids and glycolic acids, waxing and threading your face, and even taking certain medications like anti-inflammatories. This gives your skin enough room to calm down before we inject Xeomin and reduces the risk of excessive bleeding during the procedure.

During Your Xeomin Procedure

It takes a relatively short time to administer Xeomin injections, and you can expect the procedure to be no longer than 30-45 minutes. Your specialist will take a small and thin needle and carefully inject it into the targeted muscles. Because the needle is thin, there’s little to no pain.

Xeomin Aftercare & Recovery Timeline

There’s likely to be minor swelling, bruising, or even light spotting of blood at the injection site post-procedure. This should subside after a few hours.
