Before setting up a treatment plan, you'll be given a thorough consultation. Dr. Dayan and our Chicago clinic's trained specialists will assess which type of Juvederm injectable is right for you. You'll also be given a detailed breakdown of the costs involved and how to prepare for the procedure. How to Prepare for Your Juvederm Procedure

The good news is that Juvederm requires very little preparation before your treatment. At most, you may be asked to avoid medications that might work as blood thinners. This can include aspirin, ibuprofen, and St. John's Wort. You'll also be asked to avoid smoking and drinking before the procedure to make sure you get the best results possible.

During Your Juvederm Procedure

Before your treatment begins, your skin will be cleaned, and a topical anesthetic may be applied to minimize discomfort. However, this often is optional as the treatments are not painful. A very fine needle is used to administer the product, with multiple strategic injections to achieve the desired results.

Juvederm Aftercare & Recovery Timeline

As soon as your appointment is done, you should be able to get right back to life as usual. As the procedure is non-invasive, very little aftercare is needed during your appointment.
